Impartiality statement
How Sanvada keeps its audits and certification decisions objective.
The management of Sanvada understands the importance of impartiality in carrying out management system certification, manages conflicts of interest, and ensures the objectivity of its certification audits and decisions. In practice:
- Sanvada audits, certifies, and assesses. It does not design, implement, document, or maintain the management systems or controls it examines, perform internal audits for organizations it certifies, or provide client-specific training.
- Nobody who took part in preparing, attesting, or submitting a package, or in implementing the controls being assessed, is assigned to audit, assess, review, or decide on it.
- Auditors, reviewers, and decision-makers declare any relationship with a client before assignment and are not assigned where a conflict exists.
- The certification decision is made by a competent person who was not part of the audit team.
- Fees are set by audit time and are not linked to the outcome of an audit. Nobody is paid by the number of certificates issued.
Concerns about impartiality can be raised through ourcomplaints process.
